Fennville's Mitchell Leonard caught a 10-yard pass from Seth Schut for the Blackhawks' lone touchdown.
Leonard had three receptions for 35 yards, and Schut completed 4 of 11 passes for 43 yards with two interceptions. Ish Olivera led the ground game with 12 carries for 73 yards.
"I was proud of how our team kept fighting," first-year Fennville coach Brian Sackett said. "We let the game get away at the end of the first half."
Buchanan took a 35-8 halftime lead. Running back Doug Freeman scored four touchdowns -- two rushing, one kickoff return and an interception return.
