Pacific Continental Corporation serves as a bank holding company. Its main business activities are conducted by the Pacific Continental Bank (the Bank), an Oregon state-chartered bank with deposits insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). In 2010, the Bank operated 14 full service offices. It has two subsidiaries namely:

• PCB Service Corporation which is presently inactive and previously held and managed Bank property
• PCB Loan Services which formerly managed certain other real estate owned

The Bank primarily operates in these three markets: operates in three primary markets:

• Portland, Oregon / Southwest Washington
• Seattle, Washington
• Eugene, Oregon

Lending Activities

It focuses on specific areas of lending within the main market areas. The Bank originates commercial loans, secured and unsecured primarily to professionals, community-based businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. These are available for general operating purposes, acquisition of fixed assets, purchases of equipment and machinery, financing of inventory and accounts receivable, and other business purposes. Moreover, the Bank also creates Small Business Administration (SBA) loans and is a national preferred lender.

It also originates permanent and construction to finance commercial facilities and pre-sold, custom, and speculative home construction. These are focused on owner-occupied facilities. It is also involved in financing requests for multi-family residences. On the other hand, the Bank?s mortgage loan department offers fixed-rate and variable rate residential mortgage loans which are sold in the secondary market along with the mortgage loan servicing rights.

Lastly, the Bank originates secured and unsecured loans to individuals for different purposes including purchases of automobiles, mobile homes, boats, and other recreational vehicles, home improvements, education, and personal investment.

Investment Activities

Its investment portfolio is made up of available-for-sale securities (AFS). It also consists of United States Treasury and other United States government agencies and corporations, States of the United States and political subdivisions, Private label mortgage-backed securities and Mortgage-backed securities.

Deposit Activities

The deposit services are made available in the banks and other financial institutions, including checking, savings, money market accounts, and time deposits. It personalizes transaction accounts and time deposits according to the needs of the Bank?s primary markets and market segments. It also provides on-line cash management, remote deposit capture, and banking services to businesses and consumers. It allows 24-hour customer access to deposit and loan information.
